Most petroleum companies rely on vast amounts of data to evaluate and analyze all aspects of their business, from well production, to land holdings, to finance, to reserves data. However, only a few select individuals within these organizations have the technical expertise to access the data and get at the information they need.

What if everyone could access the data they needed, when they needed it? Suppose all the databases supporting the diverse disciplines within a petroleum company could be accessed through one consistent user interface that was seamlessly integrated with a powerful G.I.S. (Geographical Information System) mapping system. And, equally important, what if this same application could access all proprietary data sources in addition to all publicly available data sources?

To address these above issues, in 1994 Labrador Technologies developed Petro-LAB , which quickly became the most advanced data query, analysis, and G.I.S. mapping software available for petroleum professionals.
