ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE
June 17th, 2004 - Calgary, Canada -- LABRADOR TECHNOLOGIES INC. (formerly Sterne Stackhouse Inc.) (the "Corporation" or "Labrador") (TSX Venture: LTX) announces that at its annual and special meeting (the "Meeting") held on April 15, 2004, the shareholders approved a change of the name of the Corporation from "Sterne Stackhouse Inc." to "Labrador Technologies Inc." (the "Name Change"). The Corporation has also received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. ("TSX Venture") for the Name Change. Management of the Corporation wanted a new name "Labrador Technologies Inc.," which would be much more representative of the Corporation's core business.
The Corporation also announces that at the Meeting, the shareholders approved a 10% rolling stock option plan in the form attached to the Information Circular of the Corporation dated March 15, 2004. The stock option plan is subject to TSX Venture approval.
